Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist (Laboratory Services)
Annual Salary: Negotiable
Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close. Develops and implements agreed upon Marketing Plans which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the marketing area. Works with the laboratory team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with MBL vision and values. Experience: at least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in laboratory services, and with proven ability to achieve sales quotas. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales of laboratory microbiology services.
- Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Principal Microbiologist, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various analytical services the company offers to their business.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
- Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
- Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects requirements and how MBL would meet those requirements.
- Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities, including the use of Microsoft Outlook to maintain accurate records.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Participates and contributes to the development of training programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.

Job Title: Microbiologist. Position Filled
Annual Salary: Negotiable
Education: M.Sc. or PhD in microbiology.
Experience: At least 2 years experience in a similar position preferred
Job Description: We're looking for someone who is self-motivated and knowledgeable to:
- Provide microbiological analytical services for bulk, air, water, food, cosmetics & pharmaceutical samples using standard operating protocols based on HPFB of Health Canada, USFDA-BAM and ASTM Methods. Must be experienced in analysis of viable and non-viable air samples;
- Assist with laboratory accreditation by AIHA, CALA and such other organizations;
- Assist clients with solutions to technical queries regarding analytical results;
- Provide training and guidance to new analysts;
- Assist in development and maintainance of the lab QA/QC manual;
- Conduct training in lab quality assurance procedures;
- Assist the laboratory manager with routine laboratory operations as and when requested;

Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience
Education: M.Sc or PhD in microbiology
Experience: Strong background in bacteriology. Experience in identification of environemtal bacteria a must. Applicant must be able to enumerate, identify and confirm bacteria in various environments/substrates including water, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products/raw materials. Minimum of 4 years experience. Experience in a commercial environmental microbiology laboratory preferred.
Job Description: Individuals must be conversant with QA/QC and standard operating procedures. Duties of the Laboratory Manager include: - Direct, organize and manage microbiology laboratory operations and meet deadlines;
- Direct and perform fungal and bacterial analysis of bulk, air, water, food, cosmetics & pharmaceutical samples using standard testing protocols;
- Review, issue and archive reports of analysis and other related documents;
- Actively participate in AIHA EMPAT Proficiency Testing Program;
- Prepare, review and implement SOPs and verify documents required for AIHA Accreditation;
- Assist in promoting and marketing lab services;
- Purchase laboratory equipment and supplies;
- Assist clients with interpretation of results and facilitate their understanding.
